Programs

medienhilfe is working with a longer-term strategic approach and usually with two-years programmes on specific issues. During the programme periode, these programs are adapted permanently to keep up with political and social developments.

The Media Program West-Balkans is the long-term backbone of medienhilfe. Financed by the Political Division IV (Human Security) of the Swiss Foreign Ministry, Swiss cities and cantons as well as other governments and international foundations, medienhilfe supports independent media and professional journalism in the region of the former Yugoslavia. Radio Management and Sustainability: With financial support of the US-American foundation National Endowment for Democracy NED, medienhilfe in Serbia, Macedonia and in Kosov@ provides assistance for self-sustainability to leading radio broadcasters. Read more

The Network Media Program of the Open Society Institute (OSI-NMP), a private foundation by George Soros, and medienhilfe have agreed on a common program assisting Roma media, financed by the OSI-NMP. Read more
